According to a decree published this Tuesday, August 16 in the Official Journal, we learn that by way of derogation from article L. 3262-1 of the labor code, until December 31, 2023, restaurant vouchers can be used to pay in any or part of the price of any food product, whether or not directly consumable, purchased from any person or organization.
Extensive use
Good news for those who use restaurant vouchers (restaurant ticket, lunch voucher, restaurant pass, etc.). In the Official Journal, a decree of August 16, 2022 stipulates that:
“By way of derogation from Article L. 3262-1 of the Labor Code, until December 31, 2023, restaurant vouchers can be used to pay in whole or in part the price of any food product, whether or not directly consumable, purchased from a person or organization mentioned in the second paragraph of article L. 3262-3 of the same code.”
Thanks to this derogation, restaurant vouchers can now be used to pay for food used to prepare meals (eggs, rice, butter, etc.).
Restaurant vouchers could only be used for directly consumable food products such as meals or sandwiches.
