Nazim Uddin, of Bangladeshi origin, has been living in Saint-Malo (Ille-et-Vilaine) since 2015. He has a long experience in the catering sector.
After passing through the hotel school in Dinard, he completed his training by following a room service course at the Apprentice Training Center in Saint-Jouan-des-Guérets. He honed his skills during periods of apprenticeship in various local restaurants, before working more recently as a chef de rang at the Thermes Marins.
With the experience gained, I decided to realize my dream: to open my own restaurant. I found the ideal place, in a busy street where conviviality reigns. As for the choice of the name of the sign, the Chapati, it evokes a very thin pancake, the basis of Indian cuisine
he explains.
His brother-in-law Rashad, a cook by training, joined the adventure, after years at great London tables.
In this restaurant of street food installed rue Sainte-Barbe, customers are spoiled for choice. The establishment offers Indian cuisine, on the spot or to take away, with a multitude of starters, naan-sandwiches, dishes based on chickens and lamb with curry, vegetarian dishes and desserts. The restaurant is open every day, for lunch and dinner.
