Monday and Tuesday United Cup enters a more exciting phase. The last matches of the group stage decide which teams go to the “City Finals”, the stage before the semi-finals. Zverev-Fritz from Monday morning!
In the opening, already heavy… Alexander Zverev and Taylor Fritz will face each other in a match which will be an excellent test for the German. Passed against Jiri Lehecka, Zverev will try to show the best. In the process, Christmas Niemeier will be sentenced to the exploitation against Madison Keys. The first day sets the tone. Format and prize money
In terms of format, note that there are 4 players per team, 2 men and 2 women. The 18 teams are divided into 6 groups of 3 countries and each meeting will be organized in this way: 2 ATP meetings, 2 WTA meetings and a mixed doubles. Group matches take place at Brisbane, Perth and Sydney. The best from each group compete in the playoffs to decide three participants to the last four and the most successful team in the group stage that does not qualify will be fished out. In other words, every set will count. The semi-finals and final will be played at Sydney. The prize money is 15 million dollars for all participants.
