Uperio: new growth operation in the USA

——————– ADVERTISING ——————–

After acquiring LaurentKeller last May, Uperio is continuing its external growth policy westward by taking control of the American Compass Equipment, a lifting equipment company present at four sites in the western United States.

Founded and operated by Kelly Hadland and Ray Bellamy, Compass Equipment specializes in the sale, rental and service of tower cranes and hoists for construction sites and industrial sites. The company also provides qualified crane and equipment operators to its customers.

Compass employs more than 70 people at its four depots in Phoenix (Arizona), Las Vegas (Nevada), Denver (Colorado) and Los Angeles (California) and operates a fleet of 45 tower cranes and 45 hoists. They are an authorized Potain tower crane dealer and have a long-standing partnership with access solution provider Alimak.

This acquisition is of strategic importance for Uperio, which hopes to strengthen its geographical presence in the United States and diversify its portfolio of equipment and brands. The French leader in tower cranes sees considerable development potential with regard to the sale, rental and maintenance of these two equipment segments.

As a reminder, last May, Uperio made Iacquisition of LaurentKeller, a crane company based in Gerstheim (Alsace), France, thereby expanding its presence in eastern France.
