Each beginning of the month brings its share of news. By the end of the year, the changes are numerous and concern all sectors: car, energy, purchasing power, consumption and health. LeLynx.fr gives you a quick overview of everything that changes 1eh November 2022.

Winter tires: commitment without verbalization

From this 1eh November, residents of mountain areas must put on winter tires or have chains in their trunksand this until 31 March 2023.

Since the year 2021 has mountain law aims to strengthen security in 48 departments exposed to risks related to cold and snow. In case of non-compliance, motorists must pay a €135 fine.

That energy crisis continues in spite of a decrease in electricity and gas prices. With the mild temperatures affecting Europe, consumers have a respite.

Nevertheless, to cope with the beginning of winter and the possible price increasethe government has introduced a whole arsenal of measures, including a fuel energy control.

This assistance concerns households that heat with oil. This check is for 1.6 million households. The amount is distributed according to the number of people in the household and household income. For example, if you are single, with no dependent children, and you earn the minimum wage, you will receive €100.

How to take advantage of it?

  • If you have already received an energy checkyou receive it at the end of November ;
  • If you have never had an energy check, whatever it may be, you must apply online from November 8.
The start of the winter holidays
It’s not just the energy bill that some households struggle with. Paying the rent is also a real headache. To avoid any situation of expulsion in the middle of a cold period, the winter break starts every year on the 1steh November to 31 March the following year.

Retirement: a 5.12% write-up

From 1eh November, 13 million pensioners benefit from a write-up of 5.12% of their supplementary pension. This supplementary pension amounts to 30 to 60% of the amount of the total pension for these persons.

This good news for purchasing power concerns Agirc and Arrco supplementary pension scheme. Last year, the revaluation was only 1 per cent. However, the social partners and the plan managers voted for a higher revaluation this year, due to inflationary context.

ASF: a revaluation of 50%

From this November isfamily support, ASF, is increased by 50%. This social assistance concerns parents raising one or more children without child support. Its amount then goes from €122.93 to €184.41 per month and per child.

If you already benefit from ASF, you do not need to do anything. On the other hand, if you have not yet made the request, you must send it to CIF (the family benefit fund) or the MSA (The social reciprocity of agriculture).

Consumption: the extended repairability index

Since 1eh January 2021, a repairability index is registered in several categories ofappliances and electronics :

  • television;
  • Front-operated washing machines;
  • Lawnmowers;
  • Smartphones;
  • Laptop computers.

From Friday, November 4other devices have been added to this list namely:

  • High pressure cleaners;
  • Dishwashers;
  • Top operated washing machines;
  • Corded, cordless and robotic vacuum cleaners.

The purpose of this legislation is to reduce waste by improving durability of household appliances essential for everyday consumers. This repair index has the form of a score out of 10. To better assist the consumer in his choice, this note is accompanied by different colors, red represents a very poor index and dark greena very good character.

Other changes to 1eh November 2022

  • BAFA available from 16 years : it is no longer necessary to wait until you turn 17 to take the exam BAFA, the certificate of suitability for the functions of moderator. Young people can now begin their training at 16 ;
  • tobacco-free month : like every year, it is the return of Tobacco-free month in this 1ehNovember 2022. When you sign up, you get support day after day;
  • Housing tax : the payment threshold for this tax is November 20 for online payment and 15 November for other means of payment.
