Recalling his own performance with emotion, the chairman, who took office at the beginning of January, presented the profession as an extraordinary profession: “The world of justice is complex because the law is thankless and full of uncertainties because nothing is acquired in advance. You will have, in this job, joys, satisfactions, but also dissatisfactions and angers. It’s a job that will bring you freedom and independence but also loneliness.
Finally, Maître Filippini made a point of recalling the human dimension which dominates in this profession and concluded by specifying that for him the most difficult job of a lawyer was to know if one is made for this profession.
In front of colleagues, families and friends, many of whom came, Livia Aldobrandi, Alexis Ori, Melissa Rafini, Anthony Rampa, Arnaud Romestaing Parigi, Bianca-Laetitia Tomasi and Laura Vega then took the oath by swearing to exercise their functions “with dignity, conscience, independence, probity and humanity.”
The Bastia bar now has 167 lawyers.
