Three weeks ago, at the request of the National Conference of Presidents, the 13 holders of the Council of the Order of Cherbourg – out of the 54 lawyers in the city – met behind closed doors to discuss the question of authorizing or not the possibility of wearing the Islamic veil with the lawyer’s robe. That is to say during hearings and pleadings before the court.
