In insurance, increasingly qualified work-study students

Work study recruitments increased by 17% between 2020 and 2021 in the insurance sector. This is one of the lessons of the latest report of the Observatory for the development of insurance professions, which also highlights new trends in employee training.

Companies in the insurance sector, which employ 153,000 people, have never recruited as many university students as in 2021, i.e. 4,400 (including 740 vocational training contracts) compared with 3,740 the previous year and 2,500 in 2011, according to the 26th report. The Observatory for Business and Education of Insurance Employees, presented on 18 October. In total, work and study trainees represent every fourth employment, a stable proportion over recent years.
