After his defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife Amber Heard, Johnny Depp is back in court with his lawyer Camille Vasquez.
Johnny Depp has not said goodbye to his lawyer. Indeed, Camille Vasquez will represent the actor again in court but for another case. This time it’s not a defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard. The latter is not at all concerned by this new case presented to the courts. This is a lawsuit filed against Johnny Depp by a member of the film crew of City of LiesGregg Brooks, reports the DailyMail.
On July 25, Johnny Depp is expected in Los Angeles Superior Court for nearly four days to respond to charges of violence with his lawyers Benjamin Chew and Camille Vasquez at his side. The reason ? In 2018, Gregg Brooks accused the actor of “causing him emotional distress” punching him twice in the chest. According to him, the actor was under the influence of alcohol, which would explain his overreaction after the crew said a scene in the movie didn’t work. Allegations refuted by Johnny Depp. He claims that it was Gregg Brooks who “provoked” this fight which resulted in his injury.
Johnny Depp overwhelmed
According to certain legal documents on file, members of the film crew, including Gregg Brooks, spoke out against the conduct and the actions “intentional and malicious and committed with the aim of humiliating the complainant” from Johnny Depp. It is also noted that “Johnny’s temper had created a hostile, abusive and dangerous work environment” which ultimately led to this altercation between the star and the employee. Gregg Brooks then claimed that he was ultimately fired from the film when he refused to sign a release waiving his right to pursue the incident. On July 25, Johnny Depp will again have to answer for the facts in court and he can count on his famous lawyer to defend him.
