This decision was taken by the investigating judge of the Interregional Specialized Jurisdiction (Jirs) of Marseille in charge of an investigation relating to the funds of the alleged members of the Ajaccian criminal gang.
Lawyer for several people suspected of belonging to the Petit Bar, Mr. Garbarini had been placed in police custody on May 12 and had been released with a summons to the investigating magistrate.
According to Le Monde, Pascal Garbarini has been placed under judicial supervision with a ban on entering into contact with the other protagonists in this case.
Contacted by France 3 Corse this Wednesday morning, Pascal Garbarini did not respond to our requests and his defense could not be reached.
Le Monde indicates that his counsel will file a motion to quash his indictment and that they denounce an attempt to “intimidation” a criminal lawyer engaged in the defense of his clients.
