It was on the sly that Papa John’s restaurants closed in Lyon.
The third largest pizza chain in the United States after Domino’s Pizza and Pizza Hut, Papa John’s had several points of sale in Lyon, particularly in the Vaise district, Villeurbanne and Francheville.
But all are “closed”, without further explanation. The last sign of social media activity dates back to July 13, and the franchise’s website was completely disabled.
Interviewed by Progrès in June 2021, Ayman Halawa confided that he had negotiated a master franchise with the brand to reach all of the South of France. None of the numbers contacted by the editorial staff could be reached at the time of publication of this article.
The cause of this sudden closure therefore remains unexplained.
