Investing.com – US: Stocks ended the session lower on Friday; the decrease in , , and the sectors contributed to this decrease.
At the close on the NYSE, the index was down 0.22%, while the index was down 0.25% and the index was down 0.11%.
The best performance of the session for the index is attributed to the title Boeing Co. (NYSE: ) up 0.84% or 1.58 points to trade at 190.49. In second place we find Intel Corporation (NASDAQ: ) which gained 0.84% or 0.22 points to close at 26.43. The title Chevron Corp (NYSE: ) completed this top three with an increase of 0.66% or 1.17 points to end the session at 179.49.
Home Depot Inc (NYSE: ) was the worst performer of the session, losing 1.42% or 4.55 points to trade at 315.86 at the close. The Travelers Companies Inc (NYSE: ) declined 1.03% or 1.95 points to end at 187.49. On the other hand, McDonald’s Corporation (NYSE: ) declined 0.90% or 2.40 points to trade at 263.53.
The best performers of the S&P 500 index go to Take-Two Interactive Software Inc (NASDAQ: ) which gains 2.75% to price 104.13, Las Vegas Sands Corp (NYSE: ) rose 2.10% to 48.07 and Under Armour Inc A (NYSE: ), which rose 2.01% to close at 10.16.
The worst performers were Charles River Laboratories (NYSE: ), which fell 2.53% to close at 217.90, Etsy Inc. (NASDAQ: ), which lost 2.36% to 119.78 and Atmos Energy Corporation (NYSE: ), which fell 2.08% to 112.11 at the close.
The best performance of the NASDAQ Composite index goes to Dermata Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ: ) which gained 104.50% to 0.41, 180 Life Sciences Corp (NASDAQ: ) up 79.37% to 3.39 and SoundHound AI Inc (NASDAQ: ), which rose 71.84% to close at 1.77.
The worst performing values are Futu Holdings Ltd (NASDAQ: ) fell 31.00% to 40.65 at the close, Up Fintech Holding Ltd (NASDAQ: ) which lost 28.51% to 3.41 and Hoth Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ: ), down 27.24% to close at 7.80.
Declining stocks outpaced advancing stocks on the New York Stock Exchange by 1719 values to 1347 and 110 flat; on the NASDAQ, 1991 values recorded an increase and 1743 recorded a decrease, 188 remained unchanged.
The index, which measures the implied volatility of options on the S&P 500 index, rose 1.07% to 21.67.
On the other hand, gold for delivery in February rose 0.22% or 3.95 points to $1.00 a troy ounce. Among other commodities, Crude oil for February delivery rose 2.68% or 2.10 points to settle at $80.50 a barrel, while Brent for March delivery rose 3.04% or 2.54 points to a price at $86.00 per barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.39% at 1.07, while USD/JPY was down 1.42% at 131.13.
The US Dollar Index fell 0.33% to 103.25.
