A dog enters the gorilla enclosure
Sunday, June 12, a stray dog found himself in an unexpected situation in San Diego in the United States.
The scene took place in a zoo. The employees had the immense fright to discover a wandering doggie in the enclosure reserved for the gorillas.
They do everything to help him
The employees immediately tried to get the dog out. But the gorilla had spotted the doggie. The two animals sized each other up for a few moments.
Finally, the pooch ran to the gate held ajar by zoo employees. The gorilla ran after him, but quickly stopped. The dog was able to get out of the gorilla enclosure safe and sound.
He is out of danger
Members of the San Diego County Humane Society shelter came to retrieve the dog to safety. They took it back to the shelter while they searched for its owner. The dog does not have an identification chip.
Zoo keepers have given the dog the shelter name “Mighty Joe Young” and are very pleased that no animals were harmed during this chance encounter.
The shelter reported that the pooch was doing very well. Shelter members hope his owner will show up at the shelter soon to take him home.
