Young Oliver’s dog found in Saint-Donat

Young Oliver Benoit’s dog, Lolipop, was found in Saint-Donat, in Lanaudière, a few hours after his master.

The pug (or pug) had disappeared with the 21-year-old young man last Friday in a wooded area of the municipality.

The disappearance of the animal and its master, suffering from trisomy 21, had been reported after the latter did not return from an afternoon walk.

Oliver was found Monday noon after three days and three nights of intense research by the Sûreté du Québec. Lolipop was discovered a few hours later.

It must be said that the animal has greatly contributed to helping the research teams. Indeed, the dog was first located on Sunday in the Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci sector by people aboard a helicopter. The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) and the volunteers participating in the operation were thus able to intensify the search in this sector on Monday morning.

An emotional reunion

The young man was taken to hospital as a preventive measure. Fortunately, he is doing well and even got his leave to return home. He thus found Lolipop.

Videos of the dog have been shared on social networks where we can see that the animal is very happy to find its owners.
