A news that has kept the United States in suspense for a month and a half could have found its conclusion. A young man suspected of killing four students in a small university town in the western United States was arrested on Friday, December 30, and charged with “murder”informed the local authorities.
Bryan Kohberger, 28, was arrested in Pennsylvania, more than 4,000 kilometers from the small town of Moscow, Idaho, the Nov. 13 scene of this much-speculated crime.
A Washington State University graduate, the suspect owns a home in Pullman, a ten-minute drive from Moscow, local police chief James Fry said at a news conference. According to the university’s website, Bryan Kohberger is a doctoral student in criminology and criminal justice.
He was charged with “murder” and “trespass to commit a felony,” but the criminal record remains under seal pending his transfer to Idaho, said prosecutor Bill Thompson. For this reason, the two men refused to provide a possible motive and to explain how investigators had approached him.

James Fry said only that a car discovered at the scene and searched for several weeks had been located. According to American media, the police succeeded in making the connection between Bryan Kohberger and this vehicle and found traces of his DNA at the crime scene.
Seven weeks ago, four stabbed bodies were discovered in a residence in the small university town of Moscow. They were four students with no history: Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen – both 21 years old – Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin – 20 years old each and in a relationship. They appeared to have been killed in their sleep without waking their two other roommates.
