Remember: the state of natural disaster is a guarantee established by the state since 1982 to compensate the victims of rare natural events (drought, violent storm, flood, mudslide, avalanche, earthquake, etc.). This guarantee is concretely implemented by decrees that determine the areas and periods in which the damage occurred.
To note : damage caused by hail and strong winds is excluded from the “natural disasters” warranty. They are covered by the “storm, snow and hail” guarantee for property damage insurance contracts.
The decree of 19 September 2022 published in Official newspaper of 12 October 2022 also shows the 46 municipalities whose requests for recognition of the state of natural disaster have been rejected, they are listed in Annex II of the decreefor the risk and for the specified periods.
